Solving Whatsapp Web stuck on loading in Chrome, Franz, Rambox (and eventually other similar tools)
This is the solution I found to solve an issue I had when trying to use Whatsapp Web in chrome, Franz and Rambox. It was working fine in the laptop application, but in these apps it would get stuck in the progress bar page.Chrome
- Open the Developer Tools (dots button on the toolbar > More Tools > Developer tools)
- Chose "Application" menu and select "Clear storage"
- Click on the "Clear site data" button
- Reload the Whatsapp Web tab
It should now load correctly.
Franz
- In the Franz window, select the menu View > Toggle Developer Tools.
- In the Developer Tools window, select Application from the menu bar, go to "Clear Storage" and click the "Clear site data" button.
- Go back to the Franz window and chose View > Reload Franz.
Although you lose all your connections data, login again and WhatsApp should load, now.
If it doesn't work, go to "View > Toggle Service Developer Tools" instead and follow the same steps.
Rambox
Right click on the Whatsapp tab and select "Toggle Developer Tools"In the Developer Tools window, select Application from the menu bar, go to "Clear Storage" and click the "Clear site data" button.
Go back to the Rambox window and chose View > Reload Current Service
If these tips don't work in any of these applications, try to cleanup the Whatsapp data (cookies, cache, etc) in the Developer Tools window of the app.
